Tinned copperrnflat wire are widely used in the solar power industry as interconnect ribbonsrnwhich are soldered onto the silicon cell – take away the energy producedrnphotoelectrically. The connection of these interconnect ribbons with thernrectifier takes place via the so-called busbars – slightly larger copperrnribbons that are also tinned.

Raytronrnprovides our customers who produce PV interconnect ribbons and busbars with copperrnflat wire rolled from round copper wire. The rolled ribbons are spooled intorncoils and then be annealed and tinned in later processes.
