The firstrnElectronic Warrant System in the United States was created in March 1998 onrnPalatine’s EWI (Electronic Warrant Interchange), the original version ofrnthe anywhereWARRANT application in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Since then, EWIrnand anywhereWARRANT have generated over two million Arrest and search warrantsrnthroughout the country.
The warrant can be issued remotely and conveniently via anrnencrypted secured link over the Internet.
