My FUNiture Story

My FUNiture story is a children's furniture design studio, with a focus to create well designed, ergonomic, high-quality furniture and toys mainly in wood and wooden boards. We aim to create value added products which are usable over a long period of time. We work with traditional craft forms like the wooden lacquer ware from Channapatna and woven grass from West Bengal where they add character and special functionality and aesthetics to the product.

Our Furniture and Toys are:

·         Ergonomic : Ergonomic designs can set the stage for children's initial interactions with a product, enabling them to use products intuitively and fluidly

·         Light Weight : Easy to assemble and  move around for children

·         Sturdy :We are Building sturdy and safe wooden furniture and toys. Even a adult can sit in our Wooden chairs

·         Supporting Traditional Art form: We work to create a perfect blend of modern material and traditional artforms from west Bengal like channapatna.

·         Flat packed :We are creating more and more user friendly furniture pieces.

·         Build it yourself :Children love playing on their own and we make sure our designs help them to do so! many of our products are DIY styles and good projects for children to assemble

·         Specially designed for your little one's growth: We all had childhood memories of that one small table or chair which we outgrew so early. So, we make sure to design toys & furniture that are built to last and stay relevant for years together.

·         This is an important design consideration for us - both because it’s simply so utilitarian, and also because this is what sustainable design is all about -

·         Nontoxic finish: Safety and good health is paramount for children. Hence our products are Finished with a completely nontoxicwater based coating.

Our products create comfort and Fun for the children, they spark the Joy of Fun for the adults too- in the parents who have invested in their children’s development and in the lucky us to get to dream, ideate and create them! We celebrate childhood. The innocence. The curiosity. The Ability.

We do believe wooden furniture , Designed for children, with the right Ergonomics, Non obtrusive in the visuals, Grounded in their stability and allowing for Independent usage add immense value in building the foundations of a Confident, Curious, Carefree child of a Conscious decision maker parent!
