Christopher C. Haner practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Estate Litigation, Trusts, Elder Law, Medicaid Counseling and Guardianship.
rnChristopher earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University Schoolrn of Law. While at St. John’s, Christopher was presented with the Dean’s rnAward for Excellence in Elder Law. Christopher also served on the rneditorial board of the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development.rn While a law student, Christopher was published on two occasions: once rnby the New York State Bar Association and once by the Journal of Civil rnRights and Economic Development.
rnChristopher received a B.A. in History and Political Science from Northeastern University in 2008.
rnBoth during law school and prior thereto, Christopher worked in rnseveral law offices, both large and small. In addition to his experiencern in the private sector, Christopher also interned at a non-profit law rnfirm, served the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, interned for a Justice rnof the New York State Supreme Court and served as a legal writer to one rnof the most influential companies in the field of Social Security rnDisability Law.
rnChristopher is licensed to practice law in New York, Massachusetts, Federal Tax Court and in the Southern District of New York.
rnChristopher’s volunteer work includes regularly publishing articles rnfor the Nassau Lawyer, volunteering at the Nassau County Bar rnAssociation, participating in the Volunteer Lawyers Project, mentoring rnat a local middle school and scoring legal briefs for the Elaine Jacksonrn Stack annual moot court competition.
