When we choose a power inverter, there are usually two main types to choose from, one is a square wave or modified sine wave inverter and the other is a pure sine wave inverter. So what is a pure sine wave inverter?
1. The pure sine wave inverter outputs pure electricity, which is almost the same as the pure alternating current we get from the grid. There is no electromagnetic pollution in the power grid.
2. Pure sine wave inverter has lower waveform distortion (≤3%) and lower power consumption.
3. Pure sine wave inverter keeps the voltage and current at a safe level. In the square wave inverter, the voltage level will fluctuate greatly, which will cause great damage to the electrical appliances and shorten the service life of the electrical appliances.
4. The equipment running on the pure sine wave inverter has almost no noise.
So why do we need a pure sine wave inverter? The output power of the pure sine wave inverter is almost the same as the pure AC power we get from the grid, which keeps the voltage and current safe and is suitable for electrical appliances with higher requirements on the power waveform.
Pure sine wave inverter is a high-power electrical product according to the principle of electromagnetic induction. The starting current required for motors, compressors and other high-power electromagnetic products is much greater than the current required to maintain normal operation at start-up. In addition, since the inductive load will generate a back-EMF voltage at the moment of power-on or power-off, the peak value of this voltage is much larger than the voltage that the inverter can withstand and it is easy to cause instantaneous overload of the inverter, affecting the inverter service life. Therefore, such appliances have higher requirements on the power waveform.
