\r\n\r\n

Corona is outside, we have to stay inside,\r\nhow will we hang a wall art?

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Well,\r\nthese questions must be bothering you, hence you aren’t willing to buy wall art\r\nfor your home decor. But you also know the worth of Wall Art so why\r\ncompromise? Learn this simple DIY trick\r\nto hang the wall art and bring home as much\r\nwall art you want from Dekor Company.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Hanging wall art is the simplest\r\nof all DIY home decor activities. Even if you try hard, it’s almost impossible\r\nto do it wrong. But definitely, there’s a right and a wrong way to hang\r\npictures, just like every other task.\r\nWall arts are delicate and there’s a risk that we might damage them while hanging.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

The other most common\r\nproblems include:

\r\n\r\n

1.    Finding the right spot on the wall

\r\n\r\n

2.    Hanging a wall art securely\r\nso it doesn’t fall

\r\n\r\n

3.    Determining the nail location to hang the picture exactly\r\nat the right place and the right level, along with the frame.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

We’ll\r\ncover all these three aspects so that you can hang wall art of various frames\r\nthat are different in shape, size,\r\nand design. These tips will help you with the basics of hanging a wall art at home; so that you can fill up some wall space with seamlessly leveled\r\ncanvas paintings, canvas prints, and other wall\r\narts.

\r\n\r\n

Positioning

\r\n\r\n

Before\r\nplanning to hang the wall art, deciding where to hang it is crucial. Gazing at\r\nthe wall, searching the location to drive your nails so that your pictures hang in just the right spot, won’t help.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Try to hold the picture against\r\nthe preferred wall at the desired height,\r\nthen draw a short pencil\r\nline on the wall that marks the top of where the picture will go. Just\r\nmake a short line at the center instead\r\nof drawing all the way across the top of the picture.

\r\n\r\n

Now step down, take out the picture and hook a measuring tape onto the hanging wire attached to the back of the frame (or whatever will be sitting\r\non the nail to hold up the picture).

\r\n\r\n
\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Hold the wire tight and measure\r\nthe span to the top edge of the frame. Carefully measure\r\ndown that same distance from\r\nthe pencil line on the wall. Mark the spot, and drive in the nail. If you decide to use a picture-hanging hook, make\r\nsure the hook is leveled with the spot you marked and not the nail.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

If\r\nyou find this difficult, we have another trick as well. This time we will take\r\nthe help of a picture-hanging tool\r\nwhich we will make from a wire clothes hanger. First, you need to cut a piece of wire about 12 to 14 inches long using. At one end, measure 3 to 4 inches from the end of the wire and bend it down at a right angle; this will become\r\nyour handle. While on the other

\r\n\r\n

end, bend the wire in the opposite\r\ndirection in order to make a 1-inch long leg. Now cut the very end of the leg at an angle, forming\r\na sharp point.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

It\'s easy to use the tool. You will have to hook the short, pointed\r\nend under the hanging wire at the back of the picture. And then hold the\r\npicture in the right position with the help of the wire handle. Press on the picture using your palm. You will see that\r\nthe pointed wire end will pierce the wall, indicating exactly\r\nwhere to tap in the nail.

Stability

\r\nWhen hanging a picture, it’s advisable to drive the nail into\r\na wall stud for superior strength. Studs are metal pieces,\r\ntypically spaced 16 inches on center and inches\r\nthick. You need to be attentive as the chance that stud will\r\nbe in the same place where you want to hang your picture is remote. As you’re more likely to tap the nail into\r\nthe void created between the two studs. And for small to medium-sized wall arts, that’s reasonable.

\r\n\r\n

A\r\nsingle 1 and a 1/2-inch (4d) or 2-inch (6d) finishing nail can hold most wall arts\r\neven when nailing between\r\nstuds. The simple trick is to drive the nail into the wall at a steep angle which is at least 45 degrees.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n

\r\n\r\n

In\r\nthis manner, it provides greater holding power than tapping the nail straight\r\ninto the wall. Other than stud, you can use a picture-hanging hook, which comes\r\nwith its own small-diameter nail.

\r\n\r\n

These\r\nspecial fasteners come in a wide range of sizes and are extremely strong when\r\nproperly installed. First, try to\r\ninsert the nail through the sleeve on the hook, hold the hook against the wall at the required height. (Hook will\r\nautomatically align the nail at the optimum angle.) Then, tap the nail all the way in but be careful not to strike the hook, as otherwise, it’ll cut into the wall. To hang large & heavy pictures,\r\nuse screws as they provide\r\nmore holding power than nails.

\r\nWhile hanging a wall art between studs, always use a\r\nhollow-wall anchor for example a toggle bolt, molly bolt, or spiral anchor,\r\netc. Out of all, the spiral anchor is the easiest to install. You can simply drive it into the wall with a screwdriver, and then drive\r\na screw into the anchor.

\r\n\r\n

Some spiral\r\nanchors come with special picture-hanging hooks.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Orderliness

\r\n\r\n

You\r\nmust have hung the wall art, but it’s important you level the pictures right.\r\nYou must be knowing how to use a level to get straight pictures.\r\nBut if your pictures don’t stay level,\r\ntry this quick fix.

\r\n\r\n

Purchase some small rubber\r\nbumpers online, the kind with peel-and-stick adhesive\r\nbacking.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
\r\n
\r\n\r\n

First, take the troubled\r\nwall art and place it face down on a covered surface.\r\nStick one bumper onto\r\neach bottom i.e. the rear corner of the frame and then again hang the picture.\r\nYou will observe that the rubber\r\nbumpers provide traction and help in holding the wall art straight and level.\r\nApart from this, these bumpers also create airspace behind the picture,\r\nwhich helps in preventing dust and dirt from collecting and creating “shadows”\r\non the wall.
