WHEN DO YOU OVULATE?
Ovulation is an important part of the
menstrual cycle, ovulation takes place when the egg is released from your ovary.
When the egg releases it is fertilized by sperm the egg travels to the uterus
and implants to develop into a pregnancy but when it is not fertilized the egg disintegrates
and the uterine lining is shed during your period.
If you don’t want to get pregnant then
also you must learn when you ovulate as it is beneficial to know when ovulation
takes place as a woman is most fertile duringthis time and is more likely to
conceive.
How to know when you are ovulating
Learning when you are ovulating can help
you plan for the intercourse at the
right time and increase the chances of conceiving, keep a track of your
menstrual cycle on a chart, in a diary, on a calendar or on free period tracker
app on your smart phone but exactly when do you ovulate, the process of
ovulation begins around 14- 28 days of
menstrual cycle, generally ovulation overs in the four days before or four days
after your cycle’s midpoint however everyone’s 28 day cycle calendar may not be
same and it can vary.
The process begins withyou body’s
release of follicle stimulating hormone typically between days 6 and 14 of your
menstrual cycle. This hormone helps the egg inside your ovary to mature
inpreparation to release the egg, once the egg is mature the busty releases a
surge of Luteinizing Hormone triggering the egg release, ovulation may happen
in the 28 to 36 hours after the LH surge.
The six days leading up to and including
ovulation make up to your‘Fertile Window’ so this is the time when you are
highly fertile and planning a sexual intercourse with your partner for two to
three days throughout your cyclewill give you the best chance of conceiving.
