TWEETLOUDER – CONNECTING BANDS TO THEIR FANS’ TWITTER PROFILES

Mashable has posted information on an intriguing new app for all the casual and hardcore music fiends out there who can’t get enough of their favorite bands.

The app, TweetLouder, scans a user’s iTunes, Pandora, Last.fm, as well as SonicLiving accounts and cross-references their selections with known musicians/groups already on Twitter (users can also manually input individual bands/musicians as well into the provided Search box).

Once the corresponding list of Twitter accounts is revealed, users can then individually pick who they want to follow. Even more convenient than the list itself are tour schedules for the musicians as well, so you can see if they’re coming to perform at a town near you.

Unfortunately, the app does not allow users to add musicians to their own personalized Twitter lists however it is still a free app so it’s hard to complain overall.

Developed by Twitter researcher and music startup SonicLiving, the app was greatly aided in development by Twitter’s enormous Google Docs spreadsheet listing of musicians currently on the website.
