Tottenham target Chelsea success MF again... Chelsea also positive

Tottenham Hotspur have renewed their interest in Conor Gallagher.

Football Insider, a British media outlet, reported on April 24 (KST) that "Tottenham are interested in Chelsea's Gallagher. Tottenham will make a minimum offer of £30 million and a maximum offer of £40 million for Gallagher. Gallagher has one year left on his contract with Chelsea and the Blues are open to offers in order to balance the books."

Tottenham had planned to bolster their midfield in the winter transfer window. The midfield is the most important position in manager Enze Postecoglou's soccer. There are many roles that are demanded from the midfield, such as forward movement, ball distribution, and ball possession. Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur, and others have done well. However, Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are not quite good enough to start. Given the injuries and departures, midfield reinforcements were needed.

Tottenham were the first to show interest in Gallagher. Gallagher is a former Chelsea youth product who has spent his entire professional career with the Blues, with the exception of a loan spell. He has played a key role in Mauricio Pochettino's system this season. Gallagher is a prolific player who brings a lot to the team. He has a lot to offer as he can play in all areas of the midfield. He plays well with his teammates and his concise passing allows for good ball circulation.

However, Chelsea weren"t willing to let Gallagher go so easily. The Blues wanted £80 million and the two clubs disagreed over the transfer fee and negotiations stalled. In the end, Tottenham ended the winter transfer window without Gallagher.

Spurs have not lost interest in Gallagher. As things stand now, it seems likely that Hojbjerg will leave Tottenham at the end of the season. Postecoglou is looking to bolster his midfield by bringing in Gallagher, who could bring a lot of energy 안전놀이터 to the midfield.

Chelsea are also reportedly positive. The Blues have been active in the transfer market ahead of this season. Pochettino has been active in the transfer market according to his plans. He sold N'Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabia, while bringing in Mateo Kovacic, Kai Havertz, and Mason Mount.

They were also active in recruitment. They have invested heavily in expensive resources such as Moises Caicedo and Romeo Rabia, and have brought in the likes of Cole Palmer and Nicola Jackson. Chelsea are already planning for the summer transfer window. After spending so much money last summer, Chelsea plans to sell a number of players in the summer transfer market to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

According to the Daily Mail, "Chelsea are set to make deals with Saudi Arabian teams this summer. Last summer, Chelsea sold Kante, Koulibaly, and Mendy to Saudi Arabia. This summer, the Blues could consider selling Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arribasabalaga, Marc Kuckurella, Raheem Sterling and others."

From Chelsea's point of view, Tottenham's offer is not bad. Gallagher has a few years left on his contract, so if he doesn't sign a new deal, Chelsea could be forced to let him go without a transfer fee. Chelsea could also make a deal with Tottenham to collect Gallagher's transfer fee and raise funds to protect their FFP.
