Poten properly exploded 'Hat trick boosts scoring ranking'

Jerrod Bowen shows off his fierce determination.

West Ham United defeated Brentford 4-2 in the 26th round of the 2023-24 Premier League (PL) season at the London Stadium in London, England, on Sunday at 5:00 a.m. ET. With the win, West Ham (39 points, 11 wins, 6 draws, 9 losses, 40 goals, 46 shots, -6) leapfrogged into eighth place.

Last season, West Ham won the UEFA Europa Conference title under David Moyes. It was an unbeaten title, which made it all the more significant.

This season, however, Moyes' reign has been shaky. Up-and-down performances throughout the season and the occasional crushing defeat after an unnecessary rotay have led to criticism.

West Ham, winless in their last eight official games (four draws), welcomed Brentford to the Hammers' backyard. Moyes started Bowen up front, with Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse, and Mohamed Koudouce completing the attacking lineup.

Bowen was the star of the show. He opened the scoring in the fifth minute of the first half, doubled his tally in the seventh minute, and completed his hat trick in the 18th minute of the second half. Brentford fought back with goals from N'Golo Kante and Yoann Wissa, but West Ham added an Emerson Palmieri strike to secure a thrilling victory.

Bowen originally played as a winger. This season, he's 토토 moved from the flanks to the center, but he's looking sharper than ever. Bowen (14 goals), who has surpassed Son Heung-min (Tottenham, 12) and Xherdan Shaqiri (Arsenal, 13), is tied for third in the league with Ollie Watkins (Villa) and Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth).

Moyes said: "Bowen is starting to score goals again. If he keeps scoring like he is, I'm sure he'll impress Gareth Southgate, the England manager. If you're a goal scorer who can cover a lot of ground and is good at scoring goals, you're going to get the attention of the national team manager."

From winger to striker. Like Son Heung-min, Bowen has successfully changed positions.

Bowen and West Ham are not taking any time off to prepare for the next game. On March 3, they"ll travel to Goodison Park to face Everton at 0:00 am. Next up is a cup competition. On March 8 at 5 a.m., the Hammers will travel to Germany to face Freiburg in the Europa League (UEL) round of 16.
