Kane trains in private a day after Munich comeback - and is on target against Arsenal

Harry Kane is making a remarkable recovery. The England striker is back at the club and has begun private training to prepare for his return.

"Bayern Munich have breathed a sigh of relief. "Kane is back on the pitch," said Bild. "After being dropped from the England squad due to an ankle injury, Kane started training with the fitness coach on Monday morning. He was out on the training field and completed his first drills with the ball," and reported that he had begun individual training.

For now, however, he will not be available for this weekend's "der Klassiker" against Borussia Dortmund.

Instead, he'll be back in time for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg away to Arsenal next month. He could return as early as the Bundesliga match against Heidenheim before the Gunners.

"I'm not sure if he will play against Dortmund," said Abendzaitung. Munich have a number of games after Dortmund, including the Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Arsenal," said Abendzaitoun. "If Kane is unavailable, Mathieu Debuchy, Eric Maxime Choupo-Moting or Serge Gnabry could come in."

It's an amazing recovery. The ankle injury has ruled him out for the foreseeable future, but he has already started training privately and is on the road to recovery.

Kane injured his ankle in the 26th round of the 2023-24 Bundesliga away match against Darmstadt on April 16 after colliding with the goalpost.

Kane had a goal and an assist in Munich's 5-2 come-from-behind victory. Down 1-0 in the 36th minute, he assisted on Jamal Musial's equalizer before scoring the game-winner in first-half stoppage time. Jozua Kimmich crossed the ball just before it crossed the goal line. Kane, who was rushing in front of goal, redirected the header into the net. It was Kane's 31st league goal.

With his 31st goal, Kane broke the record for most goals in a debut season in the Bundesliga. He also set a new record for most goals in a single season. However, in the 32nd minute of the second half, Kane injured his ankle after colliding with the goalpost and will be out for a while.

It was an unfortunate injury that came as a result of over-exertion. In the 32nd minute, Musalla's shot hit the post and Kane threw himself down to collect it, stretching out his leg. As he did so, his ankle collided with the 안전놀이터 post. Kane went down, complaining of pain in his left ankle and asked for a substitution, which eventually led to Tell coming on.

Munich also announced Kane's injury after the game. "Kane has been substituted due to injury," the club's official website said, and included an interview with head coach Thomas Tuchel. "Kane has sprained his ankle after colliding with the goalpost. "He's cooled it down with ice, but we don't have an exact diagnosis yet. We have to wait and see. Hopefully it's nothing serious."

England manager Gareth Southgate, who called up Kane for the March A match, has kept him on schedule. The decision was made to have the injury treated with the national team.

However, after missing the friendly against Brazil on June 24, Kane eventually returned to Munich ahead of the Belgium game. "Kane has returned to Munich after missing Belgium's trial with an ankle injury," the BBC reported. Kane, England's all-time leading goalscorer, also missed the match against Brazil at Wembley Stadium," the BBC reported on his return.

Southgate announced after the 0-1 loss to Brazil that "Kane is not feeling well and will return to his club."

It was expected that he would need to rehabilitate for some time after his return to Munich, but Kane began individual training a day after his return to the club to check his fitness. He is expected to be back to full fitness in time to face Arsenal in the Champions League.
