Inspect the area for drainage

The first important thing you should do before you install your synthetic grass is to inspect the area thoroughly. Be sure to make sure there are no initial drainage issues that will end up impeding the drainage capabilities of your new instant turf.

Clean and prepare the surface

Once your drainage has been approved, be sure to prepare the area by cleaning away all rocks and debris that could protrude through the grass, the surface area should be perfectly level.

Apply drainage cell squares if required

If you feel the area requires better drainage capabilities, first lay down drainage cell plastic squares, this will encourage the flow of air and allow moister to flow under neath the grass enhancing the products drainage capabilities. This is really useful if you have pets confine to a small space and for areas that barely get sunlight.

Measure up the area and then order your fake grass online

Secure the grass to the concrete surface

This is the cleanest and most efficient way to secure your synthetic grass to a concrete surface. Once the synthetic grass is in position, simply lift the edges up and stick down 48mm wide double sided adhesive tape around the entire perimeter of the area. Peel away the tapes top plastic layer, and then stick down the synthetic grass edges to secure the grass permanantly.

Secure synthetic grass to concrete by using Adhesive Glue

If the surface is uneven, exposed aggregate for example, it might be a better idea to use Synthetic Grass Adhesive Glue. Apply the adhesive glue with a 4mm notch trowel around the entire perimeter of the surface area. Stick the edges back down to secure the grass permanently. Feel free to apply the glue down the middle of the concrete area for extra hold and strength.

Give the synthetic grass a hard brush and apply sand infills if required.

All you have to do now is give the surface area a good brush to ensure all the grass stands up on its ends and looks great. If you feel as if you want the synthetic grass to stand up taller you may wish to apply sand over the top of the surface and brush it in throughly. Thats it, you are done!
