The proportion of these materials are determined by the performance goals of your tyre. It all begins in a Banbury mixer, where all the raw materials are mixed. After the mixing, a gummy compound is produced that is later sent for the second stage.


After the first stage, a gluey component is received as a byproduct. This compound is left to dry and then the rubber is cut into strips. It will act as the skeleton of the tyre. Many other essential tyre parts are also manufactured in this stage. These components are then covered with a different kind of rubber.


First, the inner structure of the tyres is constructed and later the outer one. A tyre building machine is a machine that is used to know whether the tyre parts are located in the correct position or not. Using this machine a final tyre is created which is named as a green tyre. Elements like beads and tread are placed inside the machine. This is the most essential stage as this decides the shape of your tyre.


The unfinished tyre is then put into the curing mode. This stage has all the tyre markings and the tread pattern. The tread pattern is the area of the tyre that allows the water to pass from underneath the structure of the tyre. 

A curing bladder filled with hot pressure water forces the rubber back into the mould cavity. This stage chemically bonds the rubber components to the steel. During this chemical reaction, the tyre goes from plastic to an elastic state. All the components are compressed to give the tyre a final shape.
