What is Cialis 20mg?
Cialis 20mg Tablet relaxes the smooth muscles present in the wall of blood vessels and helps in increasing the flow of blood in certain specific areas of the body. It is used for the treatment of erection disorders, prostate gland enlargement and Pulmonary Hypertension (high blood pressure of blood vessels connecting the lungs and the heart).

CIALIS is used to treat:
· erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, in men. This is when a man cannot get, or maintain, a hard erect penis suitable for sexual activity. Following sexual stimulation, CIALIS works by helping the blood vessels in your penis to relax, allowing the flow of blood into your penis. The result of this is improved erectile function. CIALIS will only treat erectile dysfunction if you are sexually aroused. You and your partner will need to engage in foreplay, just as you would if you were not taking a medicine for erectile dysfunction.
· urinary symptoms associated with a common condition called benign prostatic hyperplasia. This is when the prostate gland gets bigger with age. Symptoms include difficulty in starting to pass urine, a feeling of not completely emptying the bladder and a more frequent need to pass urine even at night. CIALIS improves blood flow to, and relaxes the muscles of, the prostate and bladder which may reduce symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Interaction with Alcohol
Use of alcohol should be avoidedrnor kept to a minimal level while you are taking Cialis 20 mg Tablet. Symptoms like dizziness, fainting, flushing, persistent headaches should be reported to the doctor.
Disease interactions
· Cardiovascular disease
Report the incidence of any disease of the heart and blood vessel to the doctor. Use of Cialis 20 mg Tablet is not recommended in such patients especially the ones who are advised to refrain from any sexual activity due to the risk of adverse effects on the heart.
· Kidney Disease
Report the incidence of any kidney disease to the doctor. Use of Cialis 20 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients having severe kidney impairment. If the impairmentis mild then this medicine can be used with suitable dose adjustments.
· Obstructive disease of the lungs
Report the incidence of any obstructive disease of the lungs (veno-occlusive disease,emphysema, bronchitis etc.).

Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
This medicine is not recommended for consumption by pregnant women unless clearly needed. Consult a doctor and discuss the benefits and risks before taking this medicine.
Breast-feeding
The use of this medicine should be avoided by nursing mothers. Consult your doctor so that suitable substitute may be advised.
General warnings
· Hypotension
Consumption of Cialis 20 mg Tablet can cause a mild and short-lasting decrease in blood pressure. Caution should be exercised if you are taking any medication for lowering high blood pressure.
· Deformation of penis
This medicine should be used with caution in patients having a physical deformity of the penis which may be due to Angulation, Cavernosal Fibrosis or Peyronie disease. The risk of permanent loss of sexual potency is high in such cases.
Side effects of Cialis 20mg
Ø Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. It can be skipped if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose. This applies to conditions like Pulmonary Hypertension where the dose regimen is fixed.
Ø Overdose
Contact a doctor immediately if an overdose is suspected. You might require immediate medical attention if the overdose is severe.
