Since the 1950’s, Katong was well-known for its unique Peranakan culturernand cuisine. Today, Katong is completely different. With a plethora of Westernrnstyled cafes and restaurants, large shopping malls and condominiums, Katong’srnheritage and its heritage businesses are being crowded out. We want very muchrnto keep it alive because it is a part of us. So we’re not just some hipsterrncafé. We run a full-fledged kitchen and cook our dishes in the traditional way.rnWe don’t simplify or fusion-ise. We spruce up the old traditional recipes tornkeep them relevant.
