How\r\nClofi 50 mg used and works?
To understand why and how clomiphene is used, it is important\r\nto have a basic understanding of normal ovulation. Normally, a woman’s ovaries\r\nproduce one egg every 24 to 35 days. Ovulation usually occurs about 12 to 14 days\r\nbefore the next menstrual period. A woman’s best chance for becoming pregnant\r\noccurs around the day of ovulation and one to two days before ovulation. This\r\nwould be approximately 12 to 14 days after the first day of a 28-day menstrual\r\ncycle.
Women who are most likely to respond to clomiphene include\r\nthose with polycystic ovary syndrome. Women who are unlikely to respond are\r\nthose with absent periods and very low estrogen levels due to low body weight\r\nor exercise, or those with high follicle-stimulating hormone levels, an\r\nindicator of ovarian aging early menopause or primary ovarian insufficiency.
Clofi 50 mg works at the level of the hypothalamus where it\r\ncompetes for estrogen binding places. When these places are occupied by Clofi\r\n50 mg, the hypothalamus responds by producing more gonadotropin releasing\r\nhormone, which then stimulates the pituitary to produce follicle-stimulating\r\nhormone.
In a normal cycle healthy follicles produce estrogen, which\r\nsignals the hypothalamus to reduce production of follicle-stimulating hormone.\r\nWomen must monitoring their follicular development via ultrasound and blood\r\ntests to measure estradiol.
Dosage\r\nand direction
Clofi 50 mg is administered to stimulate ovulation 50 mg 1\r\ntime a day at bedtime, starting from 5th day of the menstrual cycle during 5\r\ndays (in the absence of the cycle – at any time). In case of no effect\r\n(ovulation does not occur within 30 days) increase the dose to 150 mg / day or\r\nlengthen the course to 10 days. Take exactly as prescribed, do not take the medication\r\nin larger quantities.
How\r\nshould I take this medicine?
Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Take\r\nexactly as directed for the exact number of days prescribed. Take your doses at\r\nregular intervals. Most women take this medicine for a 5 day period, but the\r\nlength of treatment may be adjusted. Your doctor will give you a start date for\r\nthis medication and will give you instructions on proper use. Do not take your\r\nmedicine more often than directed.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine\r\nin children. Special care may be needed.

Precautions
Before to take Clofi 50 mg notify your doctor if you have\r\never had any allergic reaction to clomiphene, liver diseases, mental\r\ndepression, thrombophlebitis. Contraindications

Possible\r\nside effect

Missed\r\ndose
If you missed a dose take it as soon as you remember, but not\r\nif it is almost time of the next intake by your schedule. If so skip the missed\r\ndose. Do not try to make up a missed dose by taking an extra one.
Overdose
If you suspect that you took too much of the medication seek\r\nfor immediate medical attention.
